Brandon Richardson is the co-founder and CTO at Aperia Technologies. This company provides software and hardware solutions to improve the efficiency of commercial fleets. He is also a graduate of Stanford University, where he received his BS in Electrical Engineering.

Brandon has always been interested in technology and its use in problem-solving. This interest led him to found Aperia Technologies, which provides software and hardware solutions to improve the efficiency of commercial fleets. In 2016, Richardson, as co-founder, raised 28.9M further the advancement of technology development at Aperia. Major fleet operators worldwide use the company’s products, including UPS, DHL, and FedEx.

Brandon’s tech industry experience and educational background have helped him become a successful entrepreneur. He is passionate about using technology to positively impact the world, and he is always seeking new ways to do so.

Early Career

In his early career, Brandon worked for DMB Technologies, where he was an HVAC system design engineer. His work is found in the Lincoln MKX and the 2007 Ford Edge. He later went on to co-found and work as president of 3ML solutions. 3ML is a student housing placement services company. 3ML was a provider of housing in the short term for co-op students in metro Detroit.

Before co-founding Aperia, Brandon worked for a global automotive supplier named Visteon. During his time there, he was involved in designing, developing, and engineering the components for a driver-side instrument panel in the Infinity QX56 and 2008 Nissan Armada.

Aperia

Richardson invented and monetized the automatic tire inflator, HALO, which became Aperia’s flagship product. This clever device mounts on a truck rim and uses the rotation of the wheel to generate energy to automatically pump air into the tire when needed.

This revolutionary device automatically inflates tires on trucks, buses, trailers, and tractors while the vehicle is in operation. It increases fuel efficiency and reduces the risk of tire blowouts on the road. It’s wholly self-powered and can be added to any existing vehicle.

“My job is all about making the driver’s job easier. It’s what gets me excited about coming to work and creating new tools and technologies. I want drivers to have one less thing to worry about.”

Richardson and his team are constantly innovating to make their products more user-friendly and efficient. In addition, they’re always looking for ways to improve the driving experience for everyone involved.

Philanthrophy and Awards

 Aperia Technologies was awarded the 2014 Technical Achievement Award from the Truck Writers of North America.

“We’re always thinking about how we can make things better for drivers,” Richardson says. “It’s our top priority.”
