The Digital Manitoba Initiative was launched with a $15 million investment by the Province of Manitoba, managed by the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, to help local businesses modernize their digital strategies and infrastructure.
Eligibility:
- Open to registered businesses in Manitoba.
- No specific requirements regarding employee count or storefronts, but small and medium-sized businesses are prioritized.
Ineligible Purchases:
- Funding cannot cover existing expenses such as:
- Cell phone or internet bills
- Consumables like ink cartridges
- Pre-existing software subscriptions (e.g., Microsoft 365)
- Existing hosting/domain fees
- Salaries
Funding Programs:
- TechUP – Digital Business Grants Up to $5,000
- For businesses investing in digital upgrades or tools under $5,000.
- Examples include e-commerce websites, advanced software, content creation tools, and digital marketing courses.
- Projects must be completed within 30 days.
- PowerUP – Digital Business Grants Up to $25,000
- For larger projects requiring up to 90 days to complete.
- Can cover organizational training, system upgrades, cybersecurity, process optimization, and more.
- Businesses can submit receipts for digital investments made since April 1, 2021, for reimbursement.

- Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
