OpenAI to give Participants of Converge $1 Million in Equity Investments from the OpenAI Startup Fund.

Are you an AI company looking for grant money? The OpenAI Startup Fund is committing $100 million for a chance to participate in a five-week intensive program for a select few participants. The time commitment will be around 6 hours per week and can be done completely remotely, except for the final week. Participants should expect to spend the last week in San Francisco. Travel expenses will be covered. The program is designed for anyone currently working or aspiring to work on cutting-edge AI models. OpenAi is excited to meet groups at all stages of the seed stage, teams with a product already in the works. The first Converge cohort will consist of about ten founding teams. OpenAi especially encourages those from underrepresented groups, or if your AI companies will push boundaries, to apply. Because when one succeeds, we all succeed.

OpenAi encourages founders with all levels of experience from any background to apply, and prior knowledge or experience working with AI systems is not required. They are looking to collaborate with a small number of AI companies in the startup funding or startup accelerator stages of the business and believe fields, where artificial intelligence can have the most transformative impact are health care, climate change, and education. AI tools can empower people by assisting them in becoming more productive in these areas.

The OpenAI Startup Fund will provide participants with a $1 million equity investment, AI-specific programming, and early access to OpenAI models. Converge will have workshops, office hours, and events with team members from the OpenAI teams. This will help participants learn how to navigate the challenges and opportunities of building in a rapidly evolving AI landscape. You’ll also belong to a group of fellow founders pushing technology’s boundaries.
