Our programs and services are designed and delivered through a relatable learning mechanism that is inclusive of cultural context to help entrepreneurs grow and scale their business. BBVA is launching its new Black Accelerator Program, a 3-month program designed to support black-led, early-stage, tech or technology-enabled businesses. BBVA is on a mission to help establish 1000 successful, Black-led tech and tech-enabled businesses in Canada by 2030.     Job Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    BBVA is recruiting for a full-time or part-time Program Specialist to support the BBVA team through strategic planning around the development of programs that will impact the Black tech entrepreneurship ecosystem. The ideal candidate is passionate about startups, technology, innovation, and Black founders. The main responsibilities are:

    • Architect business foundational and tech-based accelerator programs for various cohorts

    • Cultivate a network of Canadian coaches and North American based advisors

    • Lead and support the overall planning and operations of BBVA’s programs

    • Work alongside the BBVA team including facilitators, coaches, and mentors to ensure a successful program and coaching objectives and delivery is met

    • Connect with cohort founders along their program journey to ensure mentorship, program satisfaction and resource delivery

    • Ensure curriculum meets the highest standards in the tech ecosystem – liaise with facilitators to ensure effective delivery of program curriculum

    • Cultivate BBVA’s additional programs including - student summer programs and women-focused tech programs

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    The ideal Program Lead will have an adept knowledge of the world of tech entrepreneurship and startups. The candidate will be detail oriented and feel comfortable cultivating processes to lead the program team. What we look for in this profile:

    Job Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    BBVA is recruiting for a full-time or full-time Program Intern to support the BBVA program team. Program Intern will assist with BBVA’s Seed Accelerator Program and community functions through research, streamlining engagement activities by identifying possible ecosystem partners, organizations, and network opportunities to increase program participation and collaboration. The ideal candidate is curious and passionate about startups, technology, innovation, and engagement. The main responsibilities are:

    • Research to support the program team

    • Support with the overall planning and operations of BBVA’s programs

    • Work alongside the BBVA team to forge partnerships with ecosystem collaborators

    • Assist with content and planning for live workshops and other BBVA events

    • Prepare communication and outreach assets to participants and community partners for activation and promotion

    • General administration

    • Identify opportunities for new streamlined processes for the BBVA program offerings and cohort participation

    • Collect and manage engagement metrics for improvement in attrition

    • Participate in community-based events and recruitment workshops to drive application demand for BBVA programs

    Additional advantageous skills:

    • Blogging skills: SEO, content writing, communication, link building

    • Design skills: Social media content design, marketin

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • The ideal Program Intern will have an interest in learning about the world of tech entrepreneurship and startups. The candidate will be detail oriented and feel comfortable supporting processes to assist the program team. The ideal candidate will assist with community engagement work, research, administrative tasks, and more. An overall curiosity and willingness to learn new things and delve into new practices will be key in thriving in this role

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This is a part-time or full-time position that may work in the BBVA office and working at home. The hours of work are primarily between 8:30AM-4:30PM but can be flexible to fit a student-centric schedule.
